Delta Cat
(History & Information)

Delta Cat is a versatile act comprised of some of Northern Nevada’s most experienced and entertaining musicians. This multi-faceted quartet began performing in 1990 in the San Joaquin Delta area when founder, leader, singer, songwriter, Glenn Defebaugh decided to assemble an act of seasoned pro musicians with the intent of performing in venues with a wide demographic while having something in their repertoire for almost everyone. With the additional goal of opening shows for touring recording artists while performing their own songs, Delta Cat has successfully entertained audiences at fairs, concerts, festivals, and large corporate events all across the state of California.

The bands format is a good mix of classic rock, blues, R&B, and country, all arranged to make you, "tap your feet and get you up off your seat". The instrumentation of the band is guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and saxophones, which allows them to be more diverse that many other performing combos. In 1996 Glenn moved his family and act to Northern Nevada where he continues to perform for cabarets, fairs, and special events, such as Hot August Nights, Cool Caddy Nights, Street Vibrations, Thunder on the Mountain, V.C. Highlands Vol. Fire Dept. Fund Raiser, Starspangled Sparks, and for 9 consecutive years running, The Best In The West Nugget Rib Cook-off.

Delta Cat successfully entertains a wide range of audiences with a variety of material, as a dance and show band.
