Remote Access Service Configuration

1. From the Desktop, double-click on My Computer. Double-click on Control Panel. Double-click on Network.
   
   
2. Click on the Services tab. If Remote Access Service is not listed, click on Add. Choose Remote Access Service, and click OK. Highlight it by clicking once, and choose Properties.
   
   
3. Your modem should be listed here. If not, you need to install your modem according to your manufacturer's instructions. Highlight the modem and click Configure. Choose the selection you prefer. Click OK.
   
   
4. Click on the Network button. The only things that should be selected on this screen are TCP/IP under Dial out Protocols and Allow any authentication including clear text. Click OK. Click Continue.
   
   
5. Click on the Protocols tab. If TCP/IP is not listed, click Add choose TCP/IP and click OK. If it was already listed, you may want to remove and reinstall the protocol to verify it is set with default values.
   
   
6. Remote Access Service is now configured. Click OK to close the window. You may now setup Dial-Up Networking.
