In the
northeastern corner of Nevada is Humboldt County, one
of the most isolated and unspoiled areas in the
state. Although I-80 and US 95 cross the county,
there are few other major roads making access to much
of the county difficult without four-wheel drive.
Only one known motion picture was filmed here. Along
with director Henry King, stars Vilma Banky, Ronald
Coleman and Gary Cooper braved the inhospitable
desert to capture the manificent scenery on film.
